Secure Data Access and Protection
Visicom has a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities of handling sensitive and proprietary client data and information.

To that end, client data and information are stored in redundant systems in which sophisticated techniques to "mirror" or replicate data are used to protect against potential loss due to hardware or systems failures. Further, client data on these redundant systems are "backed up" on a daily basis, ensuring the data is secure in the event of a system or hardware component failure.

In addition to the redundant systems, the processing functions are designed to survive equipment failure and continue processing and reporting. Visicom processing systems are also backed by support coverage agreements to maintain high system availability.

Data Security
Access and security is addressed and managed using a comprehensive portfolio of methods, systems, products, and practices. Our facility's secure server room houses a Raid 5 file server using Cisco firewall technology. Data is backed up daily. Back-up tapes are stored off-site for disaster recovery (DR) purposes. Visicom also utilizes the co-location services of Berbee Information Networks (CDW) for housing our website, proprietary database and email services. A daily file server backup is performed and an hourly log of transactions from the SQL Database is stored in a secure location at Berbee. An SSL security certificate protects the web data.
